No Children's Worship in July During the month of July, due to vacations and lower summer attendance, we will not have Children's Worship. This fabulous concept will also allow those who serve our children during the worship service to have a much needed rest We will gear it back up in August. Nursery will still be available for 4 and under. Happy Summer everyone!
Caritas Ministry Intown's Caritas Ministry offers comfort and support for the people of Intown who face challenges such as bereavement, depression, loneliness, illness, job loss, divorce, spiritual concerns, and other such personal issues. Caritas is composed of lay men and women who have been called and trained to provide confidential, one-to-one care. If you would like more information regarding recieving care, please contact Seya de Lastic at seya@intown.org.
Prayer Requests The staff and leaders (elders and deacons) pray for congregational prayer needs weekly. There are two ways to let us know of your requests: Online by following the Contact Us link at www.intown.org, or complete a prayer card which is available in the chair racks in the Sanctuary—place the card in the offering plate as it is passed or drop it in the prayer request box in the lobby. Your requests will be kept confidential.
Opportunities for Service
VBS still needs volunteers--youth and adults! Thank you for considering serving our little ones at Vacation Bible School this summer. It will be a great time! As a reminder, June 17-21 is the week. Volunteers should plan to serve from 8:30-12:15 each day.
Volunteers need to attend one 30 minute orientation meeting, either June 2 at 5pm or June 9 at 9am in room 314. This is very important and youth volunteers must attend a meeting in order to serve. We can't wait to work with you this summer! Please let Shane Coker know if you are able to serve (shane.in.the.nursery@gmail.com). Also, tell your friends! It is not too late to join in the fun.
Project Nehemiah - Evening Prayer Services As part of Project Nehemiah, there will be three evening prayer services held here this summer. We are asking everyone - men, women and children - to join us in prayer. These services will be at 6 pm on June 9, July 14, and August 4 in the sanctuary. Please mark your calendars with these dates now and plan to attend. These evenings will be a wonderful opportunity for us to come together as body and pray for our church. Each service will be designed to include personal and corporate prayer for our church and Project Nehemiah. We are hoping to have nursery available for children 4 and younger. And if you are interested in volunteering to serve in the nursery during an evening of prayer, please let us know. You can do so by sending an email to Nehemiah@intown.org. Our times of prayer will be appropriate for anyone five and older.
Ushers and Greeters We need some women and men to serve as ushers and greeters during Sunday morning worship. If you would like to serve in this important role, please contact Michael Schlagheck by email (schlagheck.mike@atl.sysco.com).
Please pray for some of our members on Summer Missions. Please let us know of others by emailing paula@intown.org.
