Film Discussion: Babette's Feast

Join us Sunday, November 15, at the Boutwells’ home (2757 Wilcshire Ct, Tucker) for an evening of film, food, and conversation. Babette’s Feast is a quiet, beautiful story about grace, generosity, and what happens when someone gives extravagantly and the people receiving it don’t know what to make of it. After a month of focusing on generosity, it’s worth sitting with a story that asks what it means to receive well, too.

Afterward we’ll share our own feast, and there’s a place at the table whether or not you bring a dish. If you’d like to contribute, there are options for every ability and schedule: a loaf of bread, a cheese or fruit tray, a simple salad or side, or a dish you’ve been waiting for an excuse to make. Sign up here and pick what you’ll bring while you’re at it.

Kids are welcome. The film has subtitles, so it may suit some young viewers better than others.
