Boasting About Jesus
What do you reach for when you need someone to see you’re enough? In Corinth, rival teachers offered impressive credentials, polished speech, an image with no cracks. Paul couldn't compete, and every time he tried, he came out weaker, not stronger. So he leans into a rhythm that repeats through the letter of 2 Corinthians: struck down but not destroyed; grieving yet somehow gaining; nearly crushed, but never finished, because the one he followed had risen. That’s the only thing worth boasting in.
