Culture & Christianity - Antisemitism

As part of our Culture and Christianity series, Intown Community Church will be teaming up with our friends at Congregation Shearith Israel for a joint class on the important and timely topic of antisemitism.  The presentation and discussion "Why the Jews? Understanding the long and tragic history of antisemitism and the future of Jewish-Christian relations" will be led by Brendan Murphy, a longtime history teacher at the Marist School.  Mr. Murphy has received numerous recognitions for his work to promote understanding of the issue of antisemitism and currently serves as a Museum Teacher Fellow at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.

The class will meet on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2:00-4:00 p.m. @ Congregation Shearith Israel and Monday, Dec. 18, 6:30 -8:30 p.m. @ Intown Community Church on the 3rd floor.  We hope you will join us with the goal of deepening your understanding of the issues facing our Jewish friends and neighbors. Childcare is available with advance registration.
